THE FRIENDSHIP PARTNERSHIP CHRISTMAS PARTY

Home / News / THE FRIENDSHIP PARTNERSHIP CHRISTMAS PARTY

We were lucky enough to be invited along to The Friendship Project Christmas Party held in Warwick. As part of our new initiative through our Corporate Social Responsibility we are donating a percentage of every permanent placement to 3 local charities – The Friendship Project being one of these charities.

The Friendship Project enables children disadvantaged by their own or their family circumstances to go out with volunteers, to develop their confidence, self esteem, and have some fun. There are currently 62 children in the area who are caring for a sick parent or experiencing very difficult home situations.

Together we are helping these children to have some time out at places like the park, Jump In or the Cinema with some spending money which is a rare treat and really improves the children’s self-esteem and self-worth.

This one to one attention helps the child to have a positive influence, it broadens their horizons, and helps them to grow in confidence, with the opportunity to learn and experience new things in a safe way away from their home environment.

The contributions we make can provide the following essential elements:
– £10 enables a child to go swimming, picnic in the park, trampolining or craft materials
– £20 enables a child & volunteer to go to the cinema, bowling,
– £30 covers all of the above plus some spending money and/or lunch
– £40 enables both child and volunteer to go to Warwick Castle or a theme park
